Agenda for Flat Steel Market
Our Metals
invites you to attend 2nd "Flat Steel Market" conference on Tuesday, 18 September 2012 in 5* TBC Hotel, Istanbul, Turkey.
Please check our preliminary conference programme for topics that will be covered at the event.
2011 and 2012 has placed extraordinary pressures on long-standing relationships.
Contract performance issues, refused deliveries and impeding lawsuits have created a charged atmosphere that threatens even the healthiest business relationships.
Many companies, trying to survive, cut their expenses for market researches and events, however, the situation has changed.
Today it is very important to be aware the current trends in order to determine the business development strategy and the position in the market under new economy conditions.
In June 2011, for example, the global price for flat steel has decreased due to weakening demand.
Having remained uncertain about future market trends, buyers were reluctant to purchase large volumes of material.
As a result, mill delivery lead times shortened.
Customers in all regions are likely to restrict purchase volumes in a bid to keep inventories low over the coming months.
A slowing economic recovery in most countries will, almost certainly, restrict consumption of steel products.
Consequently, transaction values are forecast to fall further in the short term.
Reductions in input expenditure are anticipated and likely to add to the downward price pressure during the second half of the year.
Analysts predict that prices will recover at the end of 2011 because distributors are likely to begin placing orders for delivery in the New Year.
In the first quarter of 2012, the cost of raw materials costs is most likely to rise as new capacity installations come on stream to meet expectations of higher end-user demand.
So what is ahead in the coming months for the flat steel industry and which markets are poised to make the first significant rebound and increase regional flat steel demand?
The answer for this and many other questions will be provided by the expert speakers at the international conference "Flat Steel Market".
The aim of the conference is to help participants to understand short and long prospects and future direction for the flat steel industry.
Please check out our preliminary conference programme for topics that will be covered at the event.
